Sea Freight
Import and export sea freight through Limassol and Larnaca ports.
Tsaggaris Bros Clearing Ltd arranges sea freight to and from Cyprus through Limassol and Larnaca ports. One Larnaca team handles the shipment, the customs clearance and the delivery — the way we have worked since 1988.
Sea freight handled as one job, not three
Sea freight goes smoothly when the shipping, the paperwork and the clearance are planned together, and that is how we set up every job. You tell us what is moving, where from and when it needs to arrive; we arrange the vessel space, prepare the documentation and plan the customs clearance and onward delivery around the sailing. Whether the goods fill a container of their own or travel as groupage in a shared container, the whole movement is thought through before they leave the supplier.
Much of the work happens before the ship berths. We prepare and check the bill of lading and the supporting shipping documentation, and we have the customs declaration ready so the file is complete when the vessel arrives. Our own personnel are at Limassol and Larnaca ports every day — not visiting agents, but people whose daily routine is exactly this work — so once the goods land they are usually cleared within 24 hours of arrival, and you are kept informed from booking through to release.
The company was formed in 1988 by brothers Nikos and Yiannakis Tsaggaris and has been licensed for customs clearance since that same year. Exports are handled with the same care as imports: the team books the sailing, prepares the export documentation and clears the goods for departure. Everything is coordinated from our head office in Larnaca, so when you call about your container you reach the people actually handling it, and the same names stay on the file from booking to delivery.

Why ship with Tsaggaris Bros
A sea shipment does not end at the quay, so our service does not either. The same Larnaca team that books your freight carries out the customs clearing when the vessel arrives and arranges the inland transport that takes the goods to your premises — one schedule and one point of contact from the port of loading to your door, with no handover between separate companies along the way.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does sea freight to Cyprus take to clear after arrival?
Once the vessel berths at Limassol or Larnaca, goods are usually cleared within 24 hours of arrival, provided the shipping documents are in order. Our own personnel attend both ports daily, so the declaration is generally lodged and the clearance under way without the cargo waiting for an agent to arrive.
Which Cyprus ports do you use for sea freight?
We handle sea freight through Limassol and Larnaca ports, and our teams are present at both every day. Import containers are cleared where they land and exports are shipped from whichever port suits the sailing, with the whole job coordinated from our head office in Larnaca.
Can you handle both full containers and smaller shipments?
Yes. We arrange full container loads when your goods fill a container of their own, and groupage — shared container — shipments when they do not. Smaller consignments travel with other cargo and are separated on arrival, then cleared and delivered the same way a full container would be.
Do you arrange delivery after the container is cleared?
Yes. Inland transport is one of our services, so once the goods are released we collect them at the port and deliver to your premises anywhere in Cyprus. Clearance and delivery sit on one schedule, handled by the same team, so the cargo generally moves as soon as it is free to.
